Teen Choice Awards

Hey Guys!
I am back blogging again after a very hectic summer. I have been here, there and everywhere this summer and I have finally found some down time to relax and type up a blog post. Between going on a road trip with my mam and my brother, the blog squad assembling again in Dundrum, having the laugh with the OGIC (a group of girls I have had the pleasure of getting to know) and nights out with my amazing friends, I just haven't found any time to sit and type until my hearts content. But don't fear because I am here to talk to you about the fashion, the rumours, the fall out and the winners of the Teen Choice Awards 2015!

The fashion.
As far as females go, Shay Mitchell a.k.a. Emily Fields from PLL slayed with her amazing outfit! just look at how amazing she looked:

The one thing that annoyed me scrolling through Twitter last night was the hate Nash Grier got because of his outfit. It's times like this that I can't stand social media because Nash looked bomb in his double denim. Seeing people make fun of him and hearing the rumours he left because people were making fun of him killed me.
Nash rocked that double denim and pulled his outfit off better than anyone could and that is why I think he was the best dressed male at the show. Just look:

The Janoskians didn't fail to have a laugh and a joke around with their full body painted tuxedos. They looked amazing and I couldn't stop laughing. Those boys are so original, I just love it!

Performances
5SOS may not have won any awards but they sure did put on an amazing show performing their new single She's Kinda Hot and Luke Hemmings looked kinda hot... No he looked beyond hot! There is no words to describe how perfect that boy is.

Flo Rida had everyone on their feet and singing along to his new song I Don't Like It, I Love It. He is such and amazing performer and its such and amazing song.

The Winners... or were they?
There was two categories in particular that sent my twitter timeline into a frenzy and that was Choice Web Star: Music (#ChoiceWebStarMusic) and Choice Web Star: Comedy (#ChoiceWebStarComedy).

The Choice Web Star Music went to none other than the incredibly talented Shawn Mendes who I am extremely proud of. It must have been hard though for the Jacks and Shawn to go head to head as they're are friends after all, but was he really the winner? According to Twitter that does seem to be the case. Apparently the voting was rigged and Jack and Jack should have won.
As you can see here and below:
People went on to a website called Topsy which can tell you how many tweets a certain hashtag got in comparison to another hashtag. As you can see the hashtag for Jack and Jack had nearly 10,000 more tweets than Shawns hashtag! Does this mean the votes were rigged and Jack and Jack should have won?
Don't get me wrong I am so happy for Shawn and I love both him and the Jacks and I would have been happy for either of them but a vote is a vote and the proof is in the hashtag.

The second category was between Miranda Sings and the Janoskians. Was this another rigged vote? Again, it was searched on the website Topsy and the Janoskians won by a milestone... But wait, they didnt get the TCA surfboard? See it here and below:

Maybe the awards was rigged but there's not much we can do about it now.
Heres the list of the winners of this years TCA's:

Review: 5SOS Album

I know I am late for this weeks post but I want to do this and not leave it like I normally do.
So I have decided that I would finally review the 5 Seconds Of Summer Album and give you guys my thoughts and my very honest, critical opinion. This is a review on the UK/Irish album. No deluxe version.
So lets GO!

She Looks So Perfect.
So this was the first track to be taken off of the album and released as a 5SOS single. Although the boys have had singles from when the recorded by themselves before this was the one that was going to get their name known across the world. In my opinion it was the best choice! She Looks So Perfect shows off the boys vocal talent, Michaels and Lukes guitar skills, Calums bass and Ashtons drumming. It also shows off their punk side, like come on, they're singing about underwear!
Writers: Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Jake Sinclair.

Don't Stop
Don't stop is the second track and the second single off the album. This song has had a critical reception with some people saying the beginning sounds like a Blink 182 song, not my opinion though. The song is catchy and when it came out it was stuck in my head on the way to school. Again, this song is Pop/Punk or Pop/Rock, which is what these boys is about.
Writers: Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Steve Robson, busbee.

Good Girls
This song is definitely a lot slower than the previous two songs but its not a ballad. However this song is much more Punk than the other two, which is why I like it. I think Michael taking the lead in the first verse just makes the song more punk. This song gives a different side to the boys as I feel its more Punk than Pop.
Writers:  Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Rick Parkhouse, George Tizzard, Roy Stride, Josh Wilkinson

Kiss Me
This song was wrote with Alex Gaskarth who is a member of the Punk/Rock band All Time Low. This song is probably one of my favourite songs off of the album because it just reminds me of some of the old All Time Low songs with 5SOS. Can you get any better?
Writers: Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, John Feldmann, Alex Gaskarth.

*No track by track for 18.
18
Eighteen is basically a track for the girl thats a little bit older than them which they can't get. Every time I listen to this song it brings me back to the One Direction concert and seeing 5SOS live. I like the rhythm and tone of this song and its just so Punk and I love it.
Writers: Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Richard Stannard, Seton Daunt, Ash Howes, Roy Stride

Everything I Didn't Say
The first ballad on the album. This song definitely has a lot of meaning to it, as the boys explain above. Although I am in love with the lyrics of this song, I wouldn't consider it my favourite song off of the album but it definitely shows a softer, lovable side to the boys.
Writers: Ashton Irwin ,Calum Hood, John Feldmann, Nicholas "RAS" Furlong

*No track by track for Beside You
Beside You
This was one of the first songs I found of the 5SOS boys over 2 years ago. I've always listened to it and I still do. I love this because it was on of the songs 5SOS released themselves on their Unplugged EP and it just makes me realise how far they have really come.
Writers: Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Christian Lo Russo, Joel Chapman

End Up Here
And were back into the fast, up beat, punk songs! I love having this song up full blast in the car or in my room because its perfect. Again, they wrote this song with Alex Gaskarth and I love this song so much because its just so easy to rock out to.
Writers:  Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, John Feldmann, Alex Gaskarth

Long Way Home
I can rave about my all time favourite song of the whole album. I do enjoy listening to every song but this song is beyond perfect. The lyrics, the voices, the music, the whole song is just perfection. Again, wrote with Alex and John Feldmann.
My favourite part is the lyrics:
"Hitting every red light
Kissing at the stop signs darling
Green Day's on the radio
And everything is alright
Now we're turning up the headlights darling
We're just taking it slow"
I just love Calums voice during this part and its just perfect!
I think I said perfect way too much but it is!
Writers: Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, John Feldmann, Alex Gaskarth

Heartbreak Girl
Again this is another oldie from 5SOS that came out back in February 2013. Not much to say about this song apart from the fact that its a 5SOS original, I love it and its the song that I sing in the shower all the time!
Writers: Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, Steve Robson, Lindy Robbins

English Love Affair
I love this song because again, Michaels voice makes the song so punk. This song is so catchy and punk/rock.
Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, Rick Parkhouse, George Tizzard, Roy Stride, Josh Wilkinson

For the whole album I'd give it and 8/10 because I don't feel its as Punk as the boys can be but I did enjoy listening to it and I am still listening to it.
Until Wednesday

Music Mondays: 5SOS

I'm back!
Okay, so after taking a long break from blogging I decided it was time to get back on the saddle and start all over again. I have taken quite a lot of time to come up with regular posts that take away from the typical beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts every week. I am starting off my first post with Music Mondays as today is Monday. Basically every Monday will be a new post on all things Music, from new covers I find on YouTube to new songs I have found over the week, and I will share my opinion about the covers, artists or songs.

Let's get into the first instalment of Music Mondays.
As you can tell from the title I will be talking about 5 Seconds Of Summer (5SOS). I found these 4 Australian boys around this time 2 years ago when a girl from school shared their Teenage Dirtbag Cover on my Facebook timeline. I pretty much fell in love with them after that video. 5 Seconds Of Summer are a indie/rock band which I really like because I kind of like that style of music along with many other genres.

The Band
Luke Hemmings: Luke is the youngest in the band. He's 17 years old and has an amazing voice. He's take the lead vocals and also plays the guitar in the band. Luke is also pure Australian.

Calum Hood: Calum is the second youngest. He just turned 18 and also takes lead vocals with Luke and plays the Bass. Calum is half Kiwi (New Zealand) and half Scottish.

Michael Clifford: Michael is also 18 and plays guitar and also takes vocals. Michael is English, Scottish, Irish (yay), German and Australian.

Ashton Irwin: Ashton is the oldest(19). He's the drummer of the band and also takes vocals. Ash is Australian and American.

These boys are crazy and are typical teenagers. They've also went on to achieve amazing things including, touring with One Direction in the U.K, U.S and Australia. They currently have their own headline tour in the U.K that began yesterday and their first official single comes out on March 23rd.

Why not give the new single a listen?

Thank you guys for reading this and I am so happy to be back in the blogging world.
Until Friday,
Toodles
