Skin Care Routine

Hellooooooo
Before I begin, I want to let you know I don't actually do this everyday and I can be very lazy when it comes to cleansing my face, but when I do it, I seriously do it.

Step 1: First, I will remove any makeup that I may have had on that day. I use the 3 product above, beginning with the wipes, then the facial wash and I will then scrub my face using the Clean and Clear Facial Scrub.
Step 2: I then steam my face, to open those nasty pores, for about 2-3 minutes. Once I am finished I then close up the pores by dabbing cold water on my face.

Step 3: I apply the chocolate face mask, pictured above, all over my face and leave it until it hardens. I then rinse it off.
Step 4: Lastly I moisturize my face using the Simple moisturizer.

There is a little insight to my skin care routine.
What products do you guys use the most to cleanse your face? Let me know below.

Hair Care Routine.

Hellooooo!
Recently I changed up my hair care routine, and decided I needed to take a little but more care of my hair.
During summer 2013 I decided it would be smart (not!) to bleach the ends of my hair for that ombre look. Well it failed and by dying over it constantly to darken it, I was left with dry damaged hair. That's when I decided it was time to give my hair a break from the peroxide and take care of my locks.
Anyway, to get rid of the dead ends my hair had to have over and inch cut off! that's when I changed my shampoo, conditioner and heat protection spray.

Step 1: I have very oily hair so I wash my hair every 2-3 days. I hop into the shower and when my hair is wet I use the Herbal Essence Bee Strong shampoo. I apply this from the root down, and then rinse. For conditioner I only apply it at the ends of my hair and leave for a few minutes (this is when I showcase my singing voice) and then I rinse it out.

Step 2: As I am a girl who uses a lot of heat on my hair I have to use a heat protectant every time I was my hair. I use the Toni&Guy Heat Protection Mist (left) at the End of my hair before blow-drying and before straightening. Personally I do believe this works because since I started using it I have seen a major decrease in the amount of split ends in my hair.
Step 3:  When my hair is fully dry I will smooth any fly aways with the L'Oreal Mythic Oil (right) which is non greasy and leaves my hair smelling amazing and feeling unbelievably soft.

I would love to know what some of you guys do to keep those nasty split ends away, so feel free to leave me a comment.
Until Monday.

Lyrics Of Encouragement #2

When I heard this song while playing Guitar Hero, I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics. But while I was flicking through the music channels it was on, on Kerrang! I really enjoyed the lyrics and I just had to download the song.
Give it a listen for yourself.

"Hey, don't write yourself off yet, it's only in your head you feel left out or looked down"
This line is basically a call out to anyone who looks at themselves and hates what they see. Truth is your eyes can deceive you. What you see and what other people see is completely different. Don't look down on yourself or your appearance because we are all beautiful in our own way. And that is what this song is trying to get across.

"Yeah, just be yourself. it doesn't matter if its good enough for someone else."
This is, in my opinion, the best line for every single girl out there. If you enjoy doing something or wearing something do it! It shouldn't matter to other people what you do, it is your life, live it, do what you want and forget about what people think! Forget the haters!

"It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything will be just fine."
This line is pretty self explanatory to be honest. If things are tough right now, it will get better. Life is rollercoaster, it has its ups and downs but that crazy ride has to come to an end at some point. Live it, enjoy it and make the most of it.

See you all on Fridaaaay!

Makeup Look book: Spring

Apologies if this post is a bit on the long side.
As Summer is slowly creeping up on us, I have been experimenting with plenty of new makeup looks. Throughout Winter I loved a nice dark eye, but I thought I should brighten it up a bit. Recently I have been wearing a lot of pinks and light browns on my lids, and also nudes on my lips.
I have a Spring Day and Night look to show you guys and I hope you like them and if you are interested in these 'Makeup Tutorial' posts please don't be afraid to leave me a comment as I am open to everyone suggestions. Anything to make my blog that bit more interesting to people!
Okay enough of my babbling, lets get onto these looks.

Day

Step 1: Prime face with Maybelline Baby Skin Primer. I tend to focus on my t-zone but you can apply it all over your face if you prefer.

Step 2: Apply Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation all over your face. I applied mine using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

Step 3: Using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder apply all over your face to set the foundation. I used the Sarah Ashton Powder Brush.

Step 4: Apply a thin line of liquid eyeliner to the top lash line. Make sure it is very thing because if it is too thick it looks a bit like a dark, winter style makeup. I used the 17 High Drama Intense Liquid Eyeliner.

Step 5: In my opinion adding mascara is essential in any makeup look. It adds volume and thickness. I use one coat of Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam and one coat of Rimmel Scandal Eyes Rockin Curves on my top lashes and on my bottom lashes I used one coat of the LancĂ´me Hypnose Mascara.

Step 6: To finish I apply the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes to cover up any dark circles. I blend it in with my Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush. I then set the concealer using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Finished Look:

Night
Steps 1, 2 and 3 are repeated.

Step 4: When going out at night in spring it is A-Okay to darken your eyes and lips. So to achieve a nice dark smokey eye, use browns and blacks. Apply a light brown as the bad colour all over your lid and into the crease. Using a darker brown apply in the crease and in a "C" shape on the outer corner of the eye. Then using a clean detailer brush define the "C" shape made previously with a black eyeshadow.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 from above.

Step 6: Lipstick, for me, is a must in any going out makeup look. I prefer a nice red lipstick. Using a lip brush apply from the outside of your lips in. I'm using the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish in 01.

Finished Look:

Please ignore my awkward selfies, I hate taking them!
That is it for yet another Friday post.

Playlist #2 : Relax

Helloooooo!
When I was coming up with blog ideas over the easter break I couldn't think of music posts for Mondays but after Fridays post I felt this post would be perfect.
Everyone gets stressed once in a while, whether its siblings annoying you, exams, college or work, everyone needs a relaxing playlist to listen to when they need that time out.
Go run a bath, grab a glass of something nice and light a few candles.
(I am aware that this playlist may not be to everyones liking but give it a listen)

Looking at that playlist, it may seen I have a strange taste in music! Oops.
Anyway, that is it for yet another Music Mondays post.
See ya'll on Friday!

Study 101

Most of us have teachers nagging at us about out big state exams being less than 6 weeks away. Don't get me wrong it gets annoying, but don't forget, it is all for our own benefit at the end of the day.
Is anyone else finding it ridiculously hard to focus and just get the head in the books?
This post is just giving you guys a few little tips to focus and maybe succeed in getting a good grade in the summer.

Healthy diet- This one is strange, but if you have a balanced, nutritive diet it will actually help you to focus on your studying. Surprisingly enough, a lot more of what you are reading or writing down will sink in as well. Fatty food can leave you feeling tired and sluggish, but a nice healthy salad can awaken you and you will have much more energy to sit in front of the books and get to work.

TV- This is a big fall down where concentration is concerned. Apparently if you watch television after 10pm on a school night, it can lead to a lack if concentration and a drop in results/grades. This is the same with phones, computers or tablets/Ipads. So pick up a book before bed to boost concentration levels.

Sleep- Getting a good nights sleep is essential if you're aiming for good grades. It is recommended that a teenager gets at least 8-10 hours sleep a night.

Flash Cards- Personally I think this one is perfect for anyone with the Junior Cert, Leaving Cert or GCSE's coming up. I started using flash cards for the Mock Exams and since then I've been using them a lot for studying. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen one of my recent pictures was a lot of flash cards scattered on my bed for study. I think the bright colours makes it easier to learn rather than reading out of a text book.

There is just 4 top tips for studying.
See you all on Mondaaaaay!
