Study 101

Most of us have teachers nagging at us about out big state exams being less than 6 weeks away. Don't get me wrong it gets annoying, but don't forget, it is all for our own benefit at the end of the day.
Is anyone else finding it ridiculously hard to focus and just get the head in the books?
This post is just giving you guys a few little tips to focus and maybe succeed in getting a good grade in the summer.

Healthy diet- This one is strange, but if you have a balanced, nutritive diet it will actually help you to focus on your studying. Surprisingly enough, a lot more of what you are reading or writing down will sink in as well. Fatty food can leave you feeling tired and sluggish, but a nice healthy salad can awaken you and you will have much more energy to sit in front of the books and get to work.

TV- This is a big fall down where concentration is concerned. Apparently if you watch television after 10pm on a school night, it can lead to a lack if concentration and a drop in results/grades. This is the same with phones, computers or tablets/Ipads. So pick up a book before bed to boost concentration levels.

Sleep- Getting a good nights sleep is essential if you're aiming for good grades. It is recommended that a teenager gets at least 8-10 hours sleep a night.

Flash Cards- Personally I think this one is perfect for anyone with the Junior Cert, Leaving Cert or GCSE's coming up. I started using flash cards for the Mock Exams and since then I've been using them a lot for studying. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen one of my recent pictures was a lot of flash cards scattered on my bed for study. I think the bright colours makes it easier to learn rather than reading out of a text book.

There is just 4 top tips for studying.
See you all on Mondaaaaay!
