Playlist #2 : Relax

Helloooooo!
When I was coming up with blog ideas over the easter break I couldn't think of music posts for Mondays but after Fridays post I felt this post would be perfect.
Everyone gets stressed once in a while, whether its siblings annoying you, exams, college or work, everyone needs a relaxing playlist to listen to when they need that time out.
Go run a bath, grab a glass of something nice and light a few candles.
(I am aware that this playlist may not be to everyones liking but give it a listen)

Looking at that playlist, it may seen I have a strange taste in music! Oops.
Anyway, that is it for yet another Music Mondays post.
See ya'll on Friday!

Study 101

Most of us have teachers nagging at us about out big state exams being less than 6 weeks away. Don't get me wrong it gets annoying, but don't forget, it is all for our own benefit at the end of the day.
Is anyone else finding it ridiculously hard to focus and just get the head in the books?
This post is just giving you guys a few little tips to focus and maybe succeed in getting a good grade in the summer.

Healthy diet- This one is strange, but if you have a balanced, nutritive diet it will actually help you to focus on your studying. Surprisingly enough, a lot more of what you are reading or writing down will sink in as well. Fatty food can leave you feeling tired and sluggish, but a nice healthy salad can awaken you and you will have much more energy to sit in front of the books and get to work.

TV- This is a big fall down where concentration is concerned. Apparently if you watch television after 10pm on a school night, it can lead to a lack if concentration and a drop in results/grades. This is the same with phones, computers or tablets/Ipads. So pick up a book before bed to boost concentration levels.

Sleep- Getting a good nights sleep is essential if you're aiming for good grades. It is recommended that a teenager gets at least 8-10 hours sleep a night.

Flash Cards- Personally I think this one is perfect for anyone with the Junior Cert, Leaving Cert or GCSE's coming up. I started using flash cards for the Mock Exams and since then I've been using them a lot for studying. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen one of my recent pictures was a lot of flash cards scattered on my bed for study. I think the bright colours makes it easier to learn rather than reading out of a text book.

There is just 4 top tips for studying.
See you all on Mondaaaaay!

The Vamps

If you have been reading my blog since the beginning you would have seen my post about The Vamps latest single Last Night. If you haven't seen it yet just click here.
When writing that post it was never really in my intentions to write about the boys and their roles in the band. But because that post is my second most popular post, I though I might as well.
When I first hear about The Vamps in the early months of last year, I thought their music was a bit like McFly. I suppose that is a matter of opinion. On Twitter the Vamps describe themselves as a acoustic-driven indie pop band. In my opinion that is exactly what they are.

The Band
Bradley Simpson - At just 18 Bradley takes the lead vocal on every song and he also plays the guitar. We have a multitasker girls!

James McVey- 19 year old James plays the guitar in the band. He also got to showcase his vocals on their EP.

Tristan Evans - Tristan who is 19 as well, plays the drums in the band and he is amazing!

Connor Ball- Connor who is also 18 plays the bass in the band and, like James, has showcased his vocals on the bands EP's.

Want More?

That is all yet again for todaay :)
See you all again on Friday.

Makeup Bucket List

It is 2014 and I have yet again made another makeup/skin and hair care bucket list. If I do say so myself, I'm not sure if I will get everything off of it but we will see!

As you can see from above I already have some stuff on the bucket list. Some of these were got for me as a present and some I bought myself.
I thought I would makes this post a little bit more interesting and give you guys my opinion on each product I have got so far.

Maybelline Baby Skin- I got this from my amazing friends for my birthday and I haven't been able to stop myself from using it. It just leaves my face so soft and touchable. Not only is my skin soft, but I have noticed this keeps my foundation on all day in places it may have rubbed off. I apply this along my t-zone and on my chin mainly.

L-R 03, 110, 101, 16, 01.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Moss- I may be a teeny tiny bit obsessed with this lipstick. I bought my first on during the summer last year and I fell completely in love with the colour and the long lasting effect it has (provided you don't eat or drink anything).

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam- I got this a few days after it came out so I got it for €5 and to be honest I was chuffed to get it for such a cheap price. I love the length and volume this product leaves on your eyelashes and the brush is perfect to get length in you lashes.

One Direction Our Moment- I got this for Christmas off my auntie and I am literally in love with the sweat smell. The smell isn't awful strong so when you wear it a few times you cant actually notice you have it on. But for the first fragrance from the 1D boys it smells amazing.
Katy Perry Killer Queen- By the name, you can obviously tell this fragrance has a strong smell and you are right! The smell is very strong but sweet. I can't describe the smell exactly but I love it!

Herbal Essence Bee Strong- I have only used this a few times but my hair is left so soft and there is an amazing smell off of it. My mum is quite fussy with some of the shampoos I use as she says they don't leave a nice smell on my hair but she loves the smell of this. It leaves a nice honey/apricot smell and my hair doesn't get as greasy as quick.

Maybelline Baby Lips- I love these so much that I kind of want to collect them all. Not only do they smell amazing but they also leave a nice moisture on your lips. The product says it lasts up to 8 hours but in my opinion it only lasts an hour max. I love the shine and tint of colour this product leaves, however.

Do any of you guys have a makeup bucket list?
That is all!
See you again on Mondaaay.

Music Mondays: Lyrics of Encouragement

*Inspiration for this post from Kiss Magazine.
Lyrics for songs are everywhere. Some brag about how much 'dollas' they have, but there are those that know some of us don't have or want the money for all this fancy cars. Lets take Lily Allen's song Hard Out Here as an example.

"You're not a size six and you're not good looking. Well you better be rich or real good at cooking."
In my opinion this is the perfect line to start off this post. Everyone knows that the fame industry is tough! You always hear things like 'You're not skinny enough' or 'have you tried dieting?' STOP! No girl should mentally think they have to starve themselves or go to extreme lengths to become a model or a singer. If you are curvy, embrace your curves! Look at Beyoncé and Lilly Allen, both of them have had children and their figures are perfect. Intelligence and talent should make you famous, not how skinny, rich or good looking you are! Well said Lilly Allen, well said.

"Them boys be talking about their b*tches, no one's making a fuss."
Welcome to the 21st century and welcome to the common word 'slut'. No matter what a girl does these days there is always something wrong with it. Lets take an example; a girl gets with a guy on a night out and she is called every name under the sun, but the guy is considered a legend? Why is this happening? Girls are 100 time worse for calling a girl these names. Come on , can we as girls not stick together?

Lilly Allen makes so many valid points through out the whole of this song so be sure to check it out NOW! Like I said, embrace you curves and never let someone put you down, because we have all been in that horrible situation.

That is it for today.
See you again on Fridaaay!

Fab Fridays: Love Lippies

It feels like ages since I lad done a 'love lippies' post but it's only been 5 weeks! Since then I have bough more lipticks.(I'm actually afraid I'm becoming a hoarder)
Anyway, like I said last week, the flowers are in bloom(kinda) and the sun is trying to peep out from behind the cloud. So my bright colours are back in my wardrobe, including my lippies.
*Warning* Excuse bad photo quality.

L-R Rimmel Kate Moss 03, Rimmel Vinyl Gloss, Rimmel Kate Moss 101, Rimmel Kate Moss 16, Rimmel Kate Moss 110, Rimmel Kate Moss 01, Rimmel Colour Rush 100.

As you can see I'm just that tiny bit obsessed with Rimmel London products. With Rimmel products I find they do exactly what they say they do. Anywhoo, I love the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks because they are in so many colours and the last for ages.
The Rimmel Vinyl Gloss is a nice colour and it is similar to the Rimmel Kate Moss  16. When I use this I apply it over the Rimmel Kate Moss 16 to add to the shine of the lipstick. This can also be worn on your lips by itself and it leaves a nice shine and colour on your lips. So this definitley gets a big thumbs up from me.
The Rimmel Colour Rush is another shade that really adds a nice bright pink POP of colour to your lips. This is perfect to add a nice colour to any summer outfit. The Colour Rush does stain your lips, but the only down fall is the edge of your lips look like they have lip liner on it compared to the rest of your lips. Other than this, the colour and product is amazing!

Thank you guys for reading as always!
See you again on Mondaaay :)

Blogging 101

This is my first Wednesday post, I l'm just testing it out to see how it goes.
Anyway, everyday of the week there's some sort of chat for bloggers and I get quite a lot of links after I ask. I try my best to read them all but there are some things that I might see on a blog that wouldn't grab my attention as some others would.
There's a few things I love to see and then others that I don't, so I thought I would share them with you!
Originality- Having originality in your post grab my attention straight away. If I click on a blog and I've seen something similar somewhere else, it turns me off of the blog. In my opinion originality, not only in blogging, but in life makes you stand out and I am a great believer in standing out from the crowd and being original. If you're writing a post and you aren't sure if people will enjoy it, post it anyway because you will never know unless you try. I suppose what I'm trying to get at is be different in your posts, be different in the way you write, be different with the topic you are writing about. Be different!
Pictures- I think this is something that everyone will agree on. Picture quality must be good in order to fulfill an interesting blog. Also, when you are taking pictures off the internet such as Pinterest or WeHeartIt for every post it can quite boring as these are other people's photos and not your own. Not everybody has a good quality camera but it's shocking how much lightening and the background can make your photo sooo much better. Take the time for your blog and its amazing how much you can achieve.
Effort- Okay, this one is a bit of an oddballs, but if you want to blog you have to put effort into it. I know someone, (vintageteapot) that puts their heart and soul into blogging and you know what? She is damn good at it. Not having "enough time" to write a post or being "too tired" are silly excuses because if blogging is something you enjoy doing, you will put every last piece of energy you have into it. I know my self that writing each post for the week (Monday and Friday) takes up my whole weekend. Come on, exam and uni students know that it is a lot of work to get the 2 or 3 posts done for the week.

Well that's about all I have for now but I might do a part 2 to this post! We will just have to wait and see.
Let me know if you want me to keep up posting in Wednesdays.
See you Friday.

Fab Fridays: March Favourites

Hello Everyone!
March has come and gone before our eyes and all of a sudden April is here! Finally after so long, summer is just around the corner and my bright coloured clothes are creeping back in front of my reds and blacks!
Spring brings the bright colours and the sunshine (most of the time) and it's just such a positive time of the year. I think its because school is nearing to a close for that gorgeous 3 month break and everyone seems to be in better moods.
Enough of my rambling lets get on to the post!

Makup and Powders- When it comes to buying foundation and even concealers I can be very fussy, so I normally go for the same ones/brand. My favourite foundations this month were the Rimmel Match Perfection and the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. The Rimmel London foundation is obviously my everyday foundation and I like to leave the MAC one for special occasions so I don't waste.
My favourite concealer this month was definitely the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer, it has been for quite a while now. I really like the full coverage effect this has and it is perfect to put on, on a early Monday morning.
My favourite powder this month has been the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder. I have hear so many people rant and rave about how amazing this product was and I wanted to try it out for myself. Honestly, this product has such a lightweight feel to it, I don't even notice I have powder on. It still leaves that bit of a shine from your foundation and it doesn't look too matted.

Haircare- Being a girl who uses heat on her hair waaay too often I have to take good care of my hair. I've tried so many heat protection mist but by far the Toni&Guy Heat Protecting Mist has bet them all by a mile! The last time I proper trimmed my hair was right before Christmas, and the reason was it was so badly damaged from bleaching it! I haven't had to have a major trim on my hair since then because I started using this product. My split ends have reduced and there is much more moisture in my hair.
My second favourite hair product this month was the Got2B Beach Matte Texturizing Salt Spray. Again, I have tried various different salt sprays but this is the one that I have liked the most. It smells amazing and leaves your hair with those effortless beach waves.
My third favourite product this month was my L'Oreal Mythic oil. I love this mainly because it leaves you hair super soft and it doesn't leave it looking greasy after you use it.
Last but not least is the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I have a lot of lazy days where I can't be bothered washing my hair and I will have somewhere to go the next day or even school and well I need to take that greasiness out of my hair and this does the trick! I have also had this for quite a while, so it even lasts you a long time.

Eye Makeup- Like any girl I love a good mascara that gives me the luscious long "false" eyelash look without the actual false eyelash. I have come to the conclusion that if I want to get the false eyelash look you might as well buy some! I have tried so many mascaras and I never get that long eye lash effect that the adds promise you. However, that doesn't stop me from buying mascaras and my most recent purchase was the Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Rockin' Curves and I do like the end result it leaves on my lashes.
The second mascara I have been loving through the month of March is the Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Retro Glam, the brush is very nice and it makes my eyelashes look that little bit longer.
Last mascara I have been loving is the Lancome Hypnose mascara. The brush on this is quite think so I mainly use it on my bottom lashes but it does add that extra length to my eyelashes. Although, it is expensive I would recommend it.
I love a nice winged eyeliner and both the Rimmel London Scandal Eyes and Eyeko eyeliners do that. The applicators are nice and thin and the have a long lasting effect.

Lipsticks- My dark red and purples have been put away until autumn/winter again but for now my pinks are back! I am a lipstick hoarder and if I'm honest I have to many but I do enjoy a nice bright lipstick.
L-R: Maybeline Baby Lips, Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish 101, Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish 110 and Rimmel London Colour Rush.

Thanks again for reading as always!
